    The crime rate in Delhi per lac of people is much higher as compared to any other city.During my fifty years of stay,i can say with confidence that politicians of all hues have added and abetted illegal constructions,encroachments on public spaces like lanes and roads. The politicians have NOT shown any will to collect taxes like sales tax,property tax etc.
    The result is unwarranted increase of taxes on persons who are already paying but an opportunity to tax evaders to be brazen and boast of their LINKS.
    It is in the interest of common man to come forward and RAISE VOICE THROUGH MEDIA AND RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT.
    Seek info as to how many safai karamchari are attached in your colony and then see what number is actually working.
    NOW IS THE TIME TO RAISE OUR VOICE.
    Mr.Vohra deserves our thanks and applaud for providing this opportunity,

    Let us be specific. I pick up only one market....along vikas marg from Preet Vihar to Chungee. This means shops in Laxmi Nagar and Shakar Pur along Vikas Marg.
    Kindly note....it is just for illustration this has been mentioned. The storey will be same in Bhagirath Place or Sadar Bazar or any other bazar.
    At least more than a thousand time i have shopped but at no point any sale bill was issued even on asking.
    So, the sales cannot be quantified and hence NO SALES TAX OR INCOME TAX.
    Why officers of this department cannot be made responsible...for this BLATANT AND WILFUL NON PERFORMANCE ACT.
    WHY SURVEY OR DETAILED STUDY HAS NOT BEEN CARRIED.
    ATLEAST NOW WHEN THEY ARE GOING TO START THIS SAY FROM 19TH JAN 2010 ON WARD.
