In December 2011, Sh Vijay Goel launched the Bijli Aandolan against the steep hike in the Power Tariff by Delhi Government. All the RWAs were invited at the Tal Katora Stadium. It was an APOLITICAL meet & to the surprise of one & all, the stadium was jam-packed.
All the prominent names from the RWA community were present there and our B S Vohra, President of the East Delhi RWAs Joint Front was named as the Co-Convenor of the meet. Over 2000 RWAs had gathered there to raise the voice against the hike in the Power Tariff.
There was no politics in the meet & as a result, it attracted RWA personalities of any of the affiliations joining together, for the sake of an important issue.
Our Bijli Andolan is still continuing.

as well as the Fixed Charges of Electricity.
