This is how Delhi is the Most Polluted City

This is how Delhi is the Most Polluted City. In spite of the orders of the NGT and various Pollution control bodies such as CPCB & DPCC, nothing can be controlled until n unless we take it as our Citizen Responsibility, Duty & Responsibility to come forward to Save the City from the clutches of Pollution.

Why NO Meeting of CM, with the RWAs of Delhi ?

Mr. Arvind Kejriwal,
CM, Delhi

Dear Sir,

Almost 4 years are nearing completion and we are still awaiting an RWAs meet with you. We still remember the meet that you had called before the Elections at Rouse Avenue and had made huge promises with the RWAs present there. We just can not understand that why you stopped communicating with the RWAs, once you came into power.

We still remember the Bhagidari Cell of Smt Shiela Dikshit which had given us so many opportunities of getting the work done through SDMs of the area with a regular meeting with him. But since your arrival, SDMs have stopped calling RWAs as they don't have any such instructions from your office.

MCD says they don't have Funds and you don't ask SDMs to invite the RWAs to discuss even the basic necessities of life, such as road repairs, pothole filling, water logging issues etc. As a result Life of the residents has become very difficult.

Issues of De-silting have made the life miserable as since last over 25 years, Delhiites have to face severe water logging every now & then. Potholes in the knee-deep waterlogged areas, give real bumps in the stomach of every rider.

The documents say that the drainage system of Delhi has absolutely failed and we don't even know the fate of the research done by IIT engineers & many other organizations in this regard.

Traffic Jam & Pollution are the burning issues causing huge problems for the residents. WHO says that over 30K persons are dying every year just due to the Pollution related issues in Delhi NCR.

Open Dhalavs in almost every locality & the Open Landfill sites, mountains of garbage, are the worst sides of this mega city.

The DISCOMs are collecting huge amounts of Fixed charges for the Fake Sanctioned load, that is never arranged, never supplied by them but there is none to listen.

We definitely appreciate some of your good works such as Free operations in the Private hospitals, Doorstep delivery, Pension to senior citizens, etc.

But we also expect your direct interaction with the RWAs of Delhi. We do not require any funds, instead, we just want that all the local issues could be resolved with your intervention, through the SDMs of the area, as earlier.

Awaiting your earliest response.

With best regards,

Soon, pay less for the sanctioned power load change : HT

Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, CM,
Mr. Satyendra Jain, Power Minister,

Dear Sir,

In response to our stories on Delhi Aajtak on the issue of Zero Billing & the Additional Load charges, the Power Minister of Delhi, Mr. Satyender Jain had issued a Statement, over a month ago, instructing the DERC for the necessary changes.

As a result, the Additional Load charges (Security Deposit) were to be collected on the prevailing rates, only on the Additional Load & not on the entire load of the consumers.

While thanking you for the above-said orders, we just want to have a confirmation from your office or from the DERC that the above changes have been notified & implemented.

May I request you to please look into the issue & revert at the earliest.

With best regards,

B S Vohra,

Stalked, Trapped in Hotel: US Travel Blogger Narrates Delhi Ordeal

Stalked, Trapped in Hotel: US Travel Blogger Narrates Delhi Ordeal

“Men just randomly passing by reached out and grabbed me… they were touching me, groping me. This one guy kinda leaned in […] and he just said to me, ‘I want to f**k you’, right into my face, even with Livio right there.”

This was just one of the harrowing experiences that Jordan Taylor, an American travel blogger had, when she was recently visiting India. In a vlog she made about the visit, Jordan, who goes by the name ‘Travellight’ on social media, recounted the multiple instances she was sexually harassed while in the national capital New Delhi.
She was forced to confine herself to her room in a hotel when the staff allegedly started sexually harassing her and trying to get her to open the door. This place had apparently partnered with hotel aggregator OYO rooms, which has now taken action against the hotel.
Jordan recounts that the harassment peaked when her boyfriend, Livio, left four days before she was to leave India. By this time, Livio and Jordan had checked into the OYO rooms partnered hotel, identified as the OYO hotel on Main Bazaar Road, Paharganj, Delhi.
Though the couple tried to make it appear as though Livio was still there, the hotel staff saw him leave for the airport early in the morning. What happened next was yet another example of how people continue to respect a man’s presence and claim over a woman above her own will. As soon as Livio left, the hotel staff’s behavior changed towards Jordan, she says in the vlog.
“From that very morning they started acting completely different to me. At one point, one of them even followed me up the stairs. They called the room, and I know for a fact that it was hotel employees because this phone is only for hotel use […] and they said into the phone, ‘Heyyyy babyyyy!’ I hung up. They called the room again and it was just silent and not saying anything. […] The next day, they call the room, I pick up and they were just making sexual noises… breathing. There is no way that this was normal breathing into the phone,” Jordan narrates.
“It was extremely uncomfortable at that point,” she says.
Things took a turn for the worse two days before she was supposed to leave. Jordan was in her room when one of the men knocked and asked her to open the door. When she did not, he allegedly came back an hour later and banged something very hard on the door. But when Jordan still did not relent, someone allegedly turned off the AC from outside the room.
“I heard him flip it (the main switch) off. It was a very distinct sound. Immediately he knocks on my door and says, ‘Hello! The AC is broken. We need to come in and fix it. Open the door and we’ll come and fix the AC.’ And I just said no, I am not answering the door,” Jordan said.
When they tried telling her the same thing over the phone, Jordan said she knew they had turned off the AC and it was not broken.
After this, they stopped knocking but Jordan says she could see shadows outside her door from the gap at the bottom.
“He was right outside my door. There were more people who came, I don’t know who. They would knock and say open the door. Then they shut off the WiFi and said the same story – that they need to come in and fix the WiFi,” Jordan shares.
“I knew that they were lying because the AC wasn’t broken. I just felt so certain that if I did open the door… then. Because they were so desperately trying with lies to get into my room… I did feel very certain that if I did, something very bad would happen. And I still think that it would have,” Jordan says. The trauma is clearly visible on her face at this point.
After a few deep breaths and regaining her composure, she says that the harassment continued for a very long time, almost two days. “I would always see the shadows right underneath the door […] it would move away for a few minutes and they would come back. I knew they were always on the other side of the door. And this went on for two days,” she recounts, still rattled.
She ran out of the water and could not go out to get food. “[I felt like] I am being hunted at the hotel I was staying,” she says.
“The best I can describe it is like I was in a horror movie. It’s in the place where you’re supposed to feel safe and you’re sleeping in your bed at night and you can’t even relax. You can never feel safe. There’s nowhere you can go, you’re trapped.”

Microbreweries have been allowed by the Delhi Govt

Microbreweries have been allowed by the Delhi Govt and any Hotel, Restaurant, Pub can take a Licensee by paying Rs 2 Lac per year & will be allowed to produce 500 to 1000 Ltrs of Beer per day. Of course, if it is opened in your locality, the teens & youngsters of your locality will consume it as it is to be sold in the own outlet itself, unpacked. If you want to oppose, it is the right time, as they have still to seek the public opinion.

Microbreweries in Delhi - Mr D B Sood from whatsApp

There is a saying: "An open gate will tempt a saint". Scatter microbreweries everywhere. Easy access will tempt 🏫 schoolboys even girls 8th/9th class onwards, not to speak of college going ones.

Today will be 🍺 beer,  2 morrow 🍷 wine,  day after whiskey barrels. Twist the tap, fill your jug aur tun hoker naali mein gir jao. Another sewer blockage problem.

Bring also gaanja &  opium at every door-step.  Still Indian excise deptt. would never have overflowing coffers. Men in power will drill holes in them in no time.

After Reservation Policy now this Drink Policy.  Where are you thou, Nelson Mandela?  India is collapsing w/o a war!

Microbrewery licence norms notified

Outlets will be allowed to brew different varieties of beer and sell it within the premises

The Union Territory will soon join a select group of cities such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurugram and Hyderabad in having micro breweries with the government making necessary amendments in Excise rules. The move is aimed at boosting tourism and the business sector.
The Puducherry government has amended the Puducherry Excise Rules, 1970 and published the amendment in the government gazette and has invited applications for grant of microbrewery licence, a senior official in the department told The Hindu.
According to the official, microbreweries would make it possible to brew different varieties of draught beer or craft beer catering to the tastes of customers. The draught beer will be manufactured and served to customers for consumption within the premises with an installed capacity not exceeding more than 1,000 litres a day.The fee for grant of microbrewery licence had been fixed at ₹2 lakh a year. The draught beer so produced would not be bottled and sold outside the premises and would be served in glasses or pitchers. The alcohol content of the beer produced and supplied to customers should not exceed 8%, he said.
The licence holder will make arrangements to check the quality of raw material used and the liquor produced in the microbrewery by a chemist holding a degree in science with chemistry as one of the subjects preferably organic chemistry or biochemistry or specialisation in alcohol technology.

Quality control

According to the draft rules, the beer produced in the microbrewery should be released for sale only after it has been certified by a chemist that it is fit for consumption. The applicable Excise Duty and Additional Excise Duty would be collected on 50% of the annual installed capacity of the microbrewery in advance to be paid along with the licence fee.
The applicant on payment of applicable licence fee for FL2 tourism category licence can serve other varieties of IMFL/alcoholic drinks on the premises.

Hic...Hic...Hurray - Delhi Govt has now allowed the Microbreweries in Delhi !

Hic....Hic....Hurray!

But are we prepared for such microbreweries in Delhi?

Nasheyaan ne pat te Punjabi Gabhru - And now homemade chilled beer in every locality?

That's great. At least the govt will get good revenue by way of Excise. Probably that's why DDA has allowed it. Delhi Govt has allowed it. LG has allowed it. Who cares for the Masterplan of Delhi 2021?

Be assured it won't have any Law n Order problem in your locality. No Pollution, no traffic jam, no congestion, and it won't have any impact on the safety & security of women in this Rape Capital.

Moreover, it will be easy to locate the growing teens as Delhi will soon become a BEER HUB or the BEER CAPITAL of India.

Enjoy Bro...who cares for the future of our kids...as even the so-called - AAM AADMI ki Sarkar has ALLOWED it.

DDA is already in the process of increasing the number of workers from 5 to 10 and Electric load from 5kW to 11kW for the household industries in Delhi.

Hic... Hic... Hurray!

But do you know how it started? You will be shocked to find ki sabhi ek hi thaali ke chate batte hain. Please go through the News below:

Cabinet pushes beer brewing proposal despite a ban in Delhi

The Master Plan for Delhi 2021 prohibits such manufacture

The interest shown by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) to set up a micro-brewery in Delhi appealed so much to the Delhi Government that it has almost paved the way for allowing such activity at the airport and at five-star hotels.

Hush-hush discussions

On Monday, the Delhi Cabinet discussed the issue, but in a hush-hush manner, and while a number of schemes were announced following the meeting, not a word was said on the pushing forth of this liquor business proposal.
While the issue would be discussed again at the next Cabinet meeting, a note circulated on the matter admitted that as per the Master Plan for Delhi 2021, industry manufacturing “barley malt and extract” and brewery and potable spirits” shall be prohibited within Delhi.
The note said “a micro-brewery is a small-sized modern brewery that produces a limited amount of beer” and such projects would “provide freshly-brewed beer, free from additives and can be easily made available at the hotels, etc., that have a clientele of different profile.”
It also mentioned that following the “interest” shown by DIAL, a proposal in this regard was submitted before the Delhi Cabinet in the draft Excise Policy for 2009-10 and in September 2009, the Cabinet approved the proposal for introduction of licences to micro-breweries in form L-55. Accordingly, it said, the Delhi Liquor Licence Rules, 1976, were amended and licences in form L-55 were introduced for retail in vend of beer, manufactured by any micro-brewery.
Despite the Master Plan prohibiting such manufacturing, the Delhi Government pushed the matter and took “clarifications” from Delhi Development Authority and its own Industry Department.
In its response, DDA stated that a “micro-brewery is not in the list of industries but addition/alterations to the list of prohibited industries could be made in public interest and if considered appropriate by the Central Government.”
Thereafter the Delhi Pollution Control Committee and Central Pollution Control Board were also approached by the Delhi Government. DPCB demanded that the opinion of CPCB be taken and the latter submitted an Inspection Report to the DDA.
Later, the Excise Department of Delhi Government received a reference from the Union Ministry of Urban Development that the “DDA has forwarded the proposal for approval of the Ministry regarding permitting setting up of micro-brewery/brew hub at IGI Airport and hotels in Delhi rated five-star and above.”
The Excise Department in turn told the MoUD that the Delhi Government has “accorded its concurrence to set up a micro-brewery only at IGI Airport and for allowing micro-breweries at five-star hotels.”
The note also said the proposal has “become all the more important keeping in view the fact that Delhi is an important destination for foreign tourists and generally mild liquor/fresh brewed beer is preferred as compared to hard liquor.”
