But why to close India Gate for general public ?

We must honour our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our country. Princess park is one such place where a good NATIONAL WAR MUSEUM can be built as area is already under the control of armed forces. But why an aditional national war memorial complex at India Gate, which will close the entry of the general public to the area ? 

India Gate is the only open place and green lung, where residents of Delhi as well visitors visit regularly & enjoy the free time. It's the only place where we can stand and feel, Proud Indians, as on the other side it has the Rashtrapati bhavan. How the Central Govt and a GOM can decide to close the place for general public ?

The same thing happened with Delhiites when the only recreation centre of Delhi, the famous APPU GHAR was closed by the govt. to meet other requirements.

It's also strange that after so many years of independence,  if we require investment, it's FDI & if we require an architect for our post independence war martyrs, it's Charles Correa.

Please let us have your opinion too in this regard.
