New Delhi The BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) has issued an advisory, asking all its customers to guard against “unscrupulous elements”, after it apprehended an employee of a firm responsible for cheque collection. The man allegedly tried to extort Rs 10,000 from a BSES customer.
“All enforcement-related payments (fines and penalties) are to be made only at BYPL offices,” a BSES official said.
BYPL apprehended and registered an FIR on August 11 against an employee of R S Associates, an outsourced company engaged for ‘cheque collection’.
“The employee of the contractor — Ram Rajan — was apprehended by BYPL Vigilance officials. An FIR has been registered against him,” an official said.
