Councillors oppose people’s role

Dear Mr. Vohra ji,

Of course, Councillors will definitely oppose people/RWAs role. Similarly, the RWAs also oppose in equal measure, if not more, which is fully justified, as the works carried out by the former are not repeat not for the benefit of the residents but to please a few individuals who are very close to them and thereby waste theirs(ours) precious constituents money.

For instance in Anand Vihar we could certainly confirm and show that the ruling Councillor over this area has done practically nothing which will benefit a large number of residents but a handful of few and thereby wasting their precious money on things which will not repeat not benefit anyone from the welfare view point!

In Anand Vihar 'roads' - main and artery(inner) roads are crying for recarpetting as they are all worn out but the precious money is being spent on paving a few selected sections of sides of the roads thereby preventing 'seepage' of water to 'mother earth' which also forms an integral part of 'rain harvesting' and in renovating 'walking paths' in a few selected parks, which were not warranted at all!

It is a pity that they don't consult the RWAs at all on what works are required to be carried out on priority, which will immensely benefit the residents and repeated pleas of the RWAs, given in writing and spoken orally, are never complied with or listened to! We wonder to whom we could approach for remedial action!!!

With regards,

TK Balu
Secretary/RBECHS/Anand Vihar

  1. Residents of Delhi are equally divided in Congress and BJP and RWAs are also working to support the interest of these parties. The first and foremost thing is that creating of separate fund for councillors is a way so that residents are compelled to go to house of councillors for getting some work done in their area. In reply to several RTIs sent by me, MCD has informed that without the permission of Councillors, funds alloted to him cannot be spent. The people of India, who are masters has been termed as 2nd rate citizens in the eyes of politicians. Our first demand should be for withdrawal the order for placing govt. money in the hands of politicians where, executives, judiciary and people have no role to play. Mrs. Sheila Dixit CM Delhi had requested me to join Bhagidari when it was just being launched but i refused because, this is congress plateform of ruling party to propagate their schemes and not a body for welfare of residents of Delhi. Delhi tax payer are at receiving end due to increase in number of encroachments on roads, squatting, looting, chain snatching, theft of vehicles, murders, unauthorised colonies around delhi area. DDA does not give land for the residents of Delhi but develop it for encroachers of govt. land. We are short of govt. schools, primary schools, community centres, recreation centres, sports grounds, children parks, shopping centres, places for weekly bazars, happy home for aged people, old age pension is distributed to people residing outside delhi by both MCD and Delhi Govt. there are number of instances of teasing of delhi girls by outside elements who enter delhi in the morning and leave in the evening. Delhi is worst place for living. Mr. Vohra, you may like to contact me at 9810975160 or visit some areas outside your house to see the conditions of people.
MCD is in grip of contractors, as said by Mr. Balu who is a friend of mine from Railway Ministry, why these small things cannot be done by labour of MCD.
