RWA protest against BSES tariff revision, aditional security deposit & variable expenses collection.

A protest was organised today at BSES office in F block, Krishna nagar, Delhi.  A good number of RWAs & Trade bodies (41) from various parts of East Delhi participated in the protest. It was supported by the BJP.   Dr. Harshvardhan ( MLA ), Dr.V K Monga (Councillor), Mrs Neema Bhagat (Councillor) & Mr Nirmal Jain (Councillor) spoke to the public in this protest.



Dr. Harshvardhan, in his long speech, also informed, about the Technical & Commercial losses of Discoms that have come down from 57 % maximum to 14 - 20 % maximum. Dr. Monga said that  the deposits so made to BSES will not be a security deposit but a permanent fixed deposits in their hands.


Mr B S Vohra, President, "East Delhi RWAs Joint Front", raised various factual points on all the three issues i.e. Tariff revision, Aditional Security Deposit & Variable charge collection plans of BSES. "We hereby request to DERC to opt for the CAG audit so that the actual position of these DISCOMS could come into open", said Vohra.



" Their books show losses of 603 crores, whereas, DERC says profit of 75 crores. It's all total confusion", said Mr Sandeep Kapoor, Gen. Secy., East Delhi RWAs Joint Front.



Mr Alok Bali, Mr Dhaka, Mrs. Meera Sabharwal, Mr Rajesh Agarwal were amongst various RWA personalities who spoke in this protest against the BSES.
