We would like to bring to notice a pertinent issue relating to payment towards
"additional security deposit demand note of load change" demanded by BSES
recently only by 'demand draft' or 'cash' only and to be deposited in their
registered office at Shakti Kiran Bldg. Karkarduma, Delhi-92, within a very
short period of 10 days from the date of receipt of their notice.
It is surprising that while the BSES are accepting payment of 'electricity
bills' by cheques or cash, why should they demand 'draft' for payment of
additional security deposit for load change! Firstly the payment by demand draft
costs money towards DD commission and the senior citizens cannot go all the way
to Shakti Kiran Bldg. to make payment for the same, while it is more convenient
and comfortable to make payment by cheques, as in the case of their normal
electricity bills and this could be done at the various Jeevan centres or at the
drop boxes already provided in various Societies' offices! Could you kindly
intervene in the matter immediately and resolve the issue in the overall
interest of all, particularly for the benefit of senior citizens residing in
various colonies.
