Arms licences were distributed to the Jewellers
"East Delhi Jewellers welfare Association", today arranged a programme in which Arms Licences were distributed to 12 Jewellers by the Delhi Police. "In total 27 jewellers had applied for it & the rest of the applications are still under process," said Mr Ashok Seth, President of the association.
"After the tragic murder of Gaurav Gambhir in February, in broad day light, the Jewellers lobby was a worried lot. Now as the Arms licences are being distributed, it will generate a confidence in them. Almost 60 jewellers have installed CCTV cameras in their shops & many more are in the process of installing very soon.
House tax & Conversion charges collection camp - Krishna Nagar
A House tax & Conversion charges collection camp was organised in Krishan Nagar on 12/6/11 sunday at MCD Primary School, Krishan Nagar. Other organisations like KRISHAN NAGAR RWA, LAL QTR MANDIR MARG TRADERS ASSOCIATION, ADARSH VYAPAR SANGH, LAL QTR TRADER ASSOCIATION extended their support. Camp was inaugurated by MLA Dr Harshwardhan & MCD councillor Dr V K Monga .House tax officer resolved problem of citizen and collected HOUSE TAX & CONVERSION Charges. Total 400 farms and approx Rs 30 lakh collected. Sandeep Kapoor, Alok Bali, Indermal Gupta, Jaibhagwan gupta, Vijay goyal, giri ji, Naval ,maheshwari, vipin khosla, anil sharma, akanksha, jasbir choudhary, Bhagwan dass , Jugal arora, ashok suri, shastri helped in Camp.

SHOCKING NEWS : Investigative journalist shot dead in Mumbai
Jyotirmoy Dey, 50, was killed at 2:30 p.m. at his home in the city's Powai district, and the gunmen escaped on motorcycles, said the official, who did not wish to be identified.
Dey led a team of crime and investigative reporters at the Mid Day newspaper and had written books on different gangs involved in organised crime in Mumbai.
"He brought depth to our investigative reporting, and he conducted his journalism with honesty and integrity," Sachin Kalbag, executive editor of Mid Day, said in a statement.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni said the assassination was a challenge to the freedom of the press.

No tax return for salary and interest income up to Rs 5 lakh
New Delhi, Jun 6 (PTI) In India, as many as 85 lakh salaried tax payers whose taxable income, including salary and interest income, is up to Rs 5 lakh, are not required to file income-tax return from now onwards.
"No income-tax returns is required for salaried persons whose annual annual taxable income including salary and interest is up to Rs 5 lakh. We would shortly notify this," a Central Board of Direct Taxes official said.
However, he said this would not cover income from other sources like house property, capital gains and gains from profession and business.
The scheme would be applicable from assessment year 2011-12 onwards. This means that the salaried persons eligible under the scheme would not have to file returns for the financial year 2010-11 in 2011-12 (assessment year).
