    Dear Friends,
    To repeat, it begins with me for first and being a professional its even more unto me. Yes, as professionals the bulk stops at us.We hv been bestowed faith and capability to qualitatively take care of issues.Professionalism is a mechanism of expertise to vouch for social and economical well being. But most of us completely misuse our abilities to guide and aid unscrupulous and corrupt practices.Yes, political leaders are responsible but they are politicians and have their own perils. We can call them off after a term. But we get certificates and honors and we let down our people, who trust us and we are meant for them. People get the government they deserve. But what @ us? We feel that its the Government which shd do all honesty and that's all. How many of us stop at a red signal when there is no police? Character is tested when one is alone.Historically we have been corrupt and selfish and that's why all of them rules us. In the heart of heart we don't believe that corruption is wrong.Now corruption here means not only favors but lack of commitment.Architect,Lawyer,

    Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary,MBA..any one.. and now we have enough strength..we can make a difference and only we can make a difference.We call ourselves enlightened..really? it all and always starts with me. I am in a company which doesn't get involved even in remote practices well known in this country and still we could do it..had issues but we could..if all of us have little courage and commitment we and our future will be different. Lets give cleaner better future to our children..Are we feel ashamed?

    Dear Friends,
    I propose a social contract between the Government and Indians everywhere. Call it the Inclusive Growth Compact if you will. A compact that lays out the roles and responsibilities between the Government and the people in the pursuit of inclusive growth. As citizens it is our role to

    a) dedicate ourselves to the pursuit of excellence and the denial of a “Chalta Hai” mentality – by striving for excellence let us make jugaad obsolete; let us recognize that systems and processes matter, THAT MEANS MATTER, NOT JUST OUTCOMES;

    b) And let us make it an article of faith to contribute to those less fortunate than us with our hearts, our labor and our wealth.

    c) And to adhere and to affirm a consistent set of values.

    In turn the role of the Government would be to provide

    a) an honest and transparent administration and the resources and the infrastructure that will make it possible for the weakest 200 million Indians to receive a good education with

    b) a renewed emphasis on the delivery of effective primary education,

    c) access to decent health-care, especially preventative health-care for mothers and small children,

    d) and to effectively contribute to the extinction of malnutrition of small children.

    Together, we will strive to build the institutional capital that is essential to enabling a market economy to reach its full potential in terms of both growth and inclusion.
    We are a young nation, and an even younger market economy. There is much to be proud of in what we have achieved. 60 years of democracy in this incredibly large and poor nation is not a small achievement. Lifting hundreds of millions of people out of poverty is another amazing achievement. Generating vast amounts of wealth through successful corporations and entrepreneurs that have competed with companies from the most advanced markets across the globe is no small achievement. Building a successful new car with a 50 million budget when the product development budget of a Western corporation may be 15 times that amount is truly amazing. We have put satellites into space, created nuclear energy indigenously. And we have done this all without threatening anybody and while carrying along a mindboggling diversity of ethnicities, languages, indeed diversity on every human attribute. We have used our limited resources extremely well in many, many spheres; our people have shown energy, a tremendous work-ethic, a remarkable resilience in the face of much adversity. It is this resilience and flexibility that gives me confidence that the Indian growth path will meet and master the challenge of institution building that we face.
