Civic issues of East Arjun nagar !
i am resident of navrachna appartment east arjun nagar delhi -110032.
There are five appartments in the area. last year in the month of may
2011 djb dugg the road for laying the sewer line and the same aws
comleted in july 2011 but till date the road is not constructed. there is
tug of war between mcd & PWD each one is blamimg the others. till
date it is not clear who will construct the road. there are five
apprtments in the area hans, chitrakoot, navrachna, jeevan bima and
anupam. the reason best known to authorities navrachna apprtment and
jeevan bima has been put under ward no 225 and other three are in mcd
ward no 226 as navrachna appartment and jeevan bima are in the middle of
row. councilor of ward no 225 does not take interest as outside road is
under ward no 226 simalrly for every thing we are the sufferer. the
drain has not been cleaned for the last 2 years. and
unfortunately housing building society office bearer are more than 80
years old and they can not move out.
there are 98 flats and out of
it around 60 have been occupied by the gpa holders. they can not became
member as original draw in 1991 was self draw and till date original
list is not cleared. rcs office is not clearing the list. we want to make
rwa but we are not aware of the procedure as most of the residents are
senior citizen and widows and are illiterate. for this reason the
residents are suffering. some unauthorised person are self made office
bearer and are not listening to public grievance. kindly help us how to
fight this. at present i am posted at survey of india dehradun and
shortly will be transferred back to delhi i want that public grievance
should be made to minimum or eliminate them at all hoping for guidance
and help.

East Delhi RWAs Joint Front
Dear Vohra ji,
I
am of the firm view/opinion that we should confine our
activities/jurisdiction to East Delhi where more than 1/3rd of Delhi
population is residing beset with countless problems. Let us focus on
the core issues and make it a model for others. You are aware that many
of the people to other parts of Delhi are coming over here to settle
because so many problems over in other parts, particularly parking and
water! There are so many RWAs whose activities and problems we have to
coordinate and that is why I had suggested forming a 'Confederation'
Let's not use the word 'bhagidari' which had been coined by the Delhi
Administration. We already have a forum at
the governmental level for this 'bhagidari' system which has lost its
shine and importance as none of the problems focussed to them have been
solved so far and nepotism and favouritism have unfortunately crept in
here too!
For
favourable consideration. Let's confine ourselves to East Delhi and
enlarge the umbrella to other parts later or get similar bodies set up
in those parts. Otherwise it would be extremely difficult to coordinate.
With the bifurcation of DMCs it would be prudent to have our own
identity and take steps to solve all major problems by discussion etc.
with the authorities concerned. As you know next year is the election
year for Delhi
and therefore we have to move very fast to achieve our major tasks!
Lets concentrate on the issues and get them solved at the earliest! This
is my humble opinion.
With best regards,
TK Balu

BJP to start big demonstration with RWA against electricity bill
BJP has said that the current power bill, which charged at the rate
of Rs. 2.90 per unit, are being charged at the rate of Rs. 4.80 and Rs.
6.40 per unit. This has happened because the DERC has fixed slab for
power consumption and the power subsidy being given by Delhi Government
at the rate of rupee one per unit. Due to this the amount being charged
from the people have doubled. Their domestic budget has disturbed due to
it.
Not BJP has decided to stage a strong demonstration with RWAs at the
offices of all the three power companies of Delhi. This announcement was
made by the BJP Delhi Pradesh President Vijender Gupta. He told that the
If a bill being served to the common man of 600 units then Rs. 150 also
recovered as fixed charges. In addition about 180 rupees is being
recovered as electricity duty. Fuel surcharge is also added.
This way the power companies are recovering about 500 rupees extra
which is injustice to the power consumers. Shri Gupta has demanded Delhi
Government and DERC that they should abolish slab system for the common
power bills and Delhi Government should be restore one rupee subsidy as
earlier so that the people may not get the power shock.
He further told that 80% people in Delhi there family income of Rs.
10,000 per month. If they will spent Rs 4000 on power consumption then
how will main his family.

Subject Power Tariff in Delhi
Dear Sir,
It
was observed from the site of NHPC that they are the proud earners
of NET PROFIT AFTER TAX of Rs. 2,771.77 crores on the Registered
Turnover of Rs. 5,509.65 crores. It clearly means that the company is
earning a net profit after tax of more than 100% of its cost.
My question on the Rajya Sabha TV on 28th June was that why
these Govt companies are earning such a big profit & if ministry could control / limit the
profits, the POWER TARIFF in Delhi & rest of India can be curtailed to a greater extent.
But i was told on the national channel that Power Tariff is decided by CERC & whatever i asked is valid & can be done but CERC has no provisions. Link of the programme on RSTV is as below :
( LINK for
you : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jADrToLvQ1k&feature=player_embedded )
May i ask from you that
why can't CERC look
into such a big issue, as in case the Power tariff is reduced, the country can achieve milestones of success.
Your reply in this regard is being awaited. Meanwhile, please view the link of the RSTV as mentioned above.
thanks
