Do you think, we can really save the earth by switching off lights for one hour ?

Do you think, we can really save the earth by switching off lights for one hour out of the 24 x 365 = 8760 hours ?

When we want to enjoy, we name it as Valentine day, Mother's day, Chocolate day and so on. But when it comes to save the earth, we just change the term, "day" with the term, "hour", as none is willing to bear any pain, none is serious on the issue and therefore, it's just an hour & not even a day as per the trends.

Don't you think that we are fooling ourselves ? Big posters, hoardings, advertisements, competitions and so on, but do you think there is REALLY ANY CHANGE anywhere ? 


We support SAVE THE EARTH movement but it's a fact that on such a grave issue, we must have the constant efforts & not only the symbolic ones.

Tariff hike process to start from April

NEW DELHI: Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission will start from April the procedure of determining the second change in consumer tariff due to fuel cost. With the first 5% hike in power tariff because of fuel price adjustment (FPA) due to expire in April-end, DERC has asked the discoms to submit their audited accounts for power purchased from February to April to decide FPA for the next quarter beginning May 1. 

The first FPA was granted to discoms BSES Rajdhani, BSES Yamuna and BSES Tata Delhi to help them recover costs of power purchase from October to December. This was the first time FPA was granted and now for the second quarter, DERC will once again review the increase in power purchase costs borne by the power companies as per fuel prices in the international market and allow them to recover these costs from consumers on a quarterly basis. 

"We expect discoms to submit their claims by mid-April and the new formula can start from May 1 to July 31," said a DERC official.

Delhi - Come Out and Vote

Hi All,

We have decided to change the Venue of our Awareness Campaign .... Delhi - Come Out and Vote as Sec. 144 has been imposed at India Gate and Central Park Cannought Place. Thank god there are no such restrictions (for now) on facebook....... our campaign has taken off in right earnest many interesting posters, cartoons, poems, slogans are being posted.

I am sure you all will be there on Sunday 8.30 am to 12.30 pm, the Artists will be there ..... RWAs can come at 10 am, when we begin Painting the Giant Banner.

Please note the change in Venue ..... Its Purana Quila Zoo Parking Side next to the Lake.
