In the East Delhi area, mock elections were held to check the new machines for voting. New facilities have been introduced this time. The elections were carried out in 6 to 7 areas in East Delhi where various RWAs from different areas participated. The new system enables triple verification and is simple to use.
The elections were carried out at Karkari Morh, Kiran Vihar, Suraj Mal Vihar, Anand Vihar, IP extension, Preet Vihar and Mandawali. The RWAs liked the concept and praised the mock elections. The event started from 8 in the morning and carried on till 4 pm. BS Vohra, president, East Delhi RWA Joint front says, “It’s a very good initiative and it’s a dual process. It’s a little time consuming as well. Let’s see how it works.”
