Commandos To Land At Schools In Case Of Games Emergency

Schools in Delhi will be closed during the Commonwealth Games, but they will still be an integral part of the Security  plan for the city during the period. Highly placed sources said the SWAT teams and commandos of the National Security Guard (NSG) and other agencies will be flown into the school grounds closest to the 13 venues in choppers in the eventuality of a terrorist attack or hostage situation.

"If there is a terrorist intrusion or any other hostage situation, the commandos will be airlifted to the grounds of government and private schools close to the venues. From there, the commandos will walk to the spot so that the terrorists do not see the helicopters," said an officer. He said the schools have been chosen for landing helicopters as they have big playgrounds and premises covered by buildings on all sides, providing the secrecy needed for such operations.

In fact, the Delhi Police has identified schools near the 13 Games venues and Games Village where helicopters can land and has recorded their coordinates. For example, Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, will be used in case of an operation near the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium where the opening and closing ceremonies will held, said the source.

"Similarly, there is a government school in Shakarpur near the Games Village and one at Kotla village near the Indira Gandhi International Stadium," the source added.

The Delhi Police has close to 60 SWAT commandos while the NSG and Border Security Force (BSF) are also expected to deploy similar numbers. Helicopters of the BSF, Indian Air Force and NSG would be on standby during the Games, added the source.

Sant nagar is sandwiched between east of kailash and nehru place.
I stayed in east of kailash and lappet nagar1v for almost thirty years since 1960 since onward.
It is located on uneven rocky terrain and has very large number of problems.
This colony merits special attention.
Despite boost in property rates, much needs to be done.
Their president or secretary could come for personal discussion and then we could chalk out action plan.

The top five cancer-causing foods are:

1.. Hot Dogs
Because they are high in nitrates, the Cancer Prevention Coalition advises that children eat no more than 12 hot dogs a month. If you can't live without hot dogs, buy those made without sodium nitrate.

2. Processed meats and Bacon

Also high in the same sodium nitrates found in hot dogs, bacon, and other processed meats raise the risk of heart disease. The saturated fat in bacon also contributes to cancer.

3. Doughnuts
Doughnuts are cancer-causing double trouble. First, they are made with white flour, sugar, and hydrogenated oils, then fried at high temperatures. Doughnuts, says Adams , may be the worst food you can possibly eat to raise your risk of cancer.

4. French fries

Like doughnuts, French fries are made with hydrogenated oils and then fried at high temperatures. They also contain cancer- causing acryl amides which occur during the frying process. They should be called cancer fries, not French fries, said Adams .

5. Chips, crackers, and cookies
All are usually made with white flour and sugar... Even the ones whose labels claim to be free of trans-fats generally contain small amounts of trans-fats.

Simple and highly effective way to avoid malaria and dengue

MAKE YOUR HOME MALARIA & DENGUE  FREE!!!

Camphor- The effective & healthy mosquito repellent. Malaria and Dengue are on a steep rise. We all must be  using liquid or the old blue tablet type of mosquito repellents sold under various names. Despite their use, it  is common to see mosquitoes hovering around with the best of  repellents in action. Secondly, we cannot use these mosquito  repellents whole day – be they be of any brand. Thirdly,  many people land up with allergies due to them.

In the past, man would light diyas and burn camphor on a  regular basis as a part of daily puja. These helped to  purify the air and keep harmful bacteria, viruses and  mosquitoes away!  We can definitely have a better and healthy  environment with the use of camphor.

Camphor or Kapur is a waxy, white or transparent substance  extracted from the wood of the Camphor Laurel tree found in  Asia. Camphor has many known medicinal uses-  It relieves nasal congestion and cough when rubbed on the  chest as an oil. Camphor is used as an ingredient in throat  lozenges and cough syrups and in Vicks. Camphor is also used  in some anti-itch ointments, creams and cooling gels because  it  can be absorbed through skin and is effective at  treating pain locally. It has an analgesic effect which  makes it a favorite oil to be used in pain relieving massage  blends for sore muscles and arthritic pain. Camphor is known  to improve the quality of air making it a better for our  lungs and heart.

Many people are not aware of the Mosquito repellent power  of Camphor - a simple solution without side effects and very  cost effective. CAMPHOR IS A NATURAL MOSQUITO REPELLENT With  effect round the clock! You do not need to burn it for that.

There are three easier ways to do it -
 1.    Put 2 tablets of commercially  available camphor on any warm surface- the device shown in  the picture serves the purpose well. Plug it for an hour and  see the results! You can do it twice a day- morning and in the night as well!

 2.    Place 2 tablets of camphor on different corners of the room or at places where mosquitoes  seem to love to stay! Leave them there and they will  evaporate in a day or so keeping the air purer and mosquito  free.

 3.    Take a wide opened cup or plate with  water. Drop 2 tablets of Camphor into the water. Keep the  cup with water and camphor in your sleeping room. The  quantity of water and camphor may differ from room size.  Water evaporate at normal temperature. Camphor slowly started dissolving in water. The water evaporates with Camphor smell. Adding little bit hot water gives instant action.

You will be amazed at the results! Do experience it and  help spread these healthy tips!

Save Yamuna meet in constitution club today at 4pm

I attended meeting .ex.CM of Delhi,ex.MAYOR and other top functionaries and rwas representatives were present besides media and news paper journalists.
I was one of the speakers and made some of the fowling points.
Delhi population will always grow as it is a magnet which pulls job seekers and daily wage workers.
Cities like Singapore and honking have no fresh water resources but survive with excellent water after recycling.
Industrial affluence must be the responsibility of industrial units. No permission to be given to them to dicharge untreated waste in Yamuna.
Societies handed over working tube well which used to supply or supplement water supply.
Suddenly these have been stopped.
WHY WHEN EVERY DROP OF WATER COUNTS?

I heart CWG Delhi compaign by MSN India & The urban vision

I "heart" Delhi

In less than three weeks New Delhi, India’s Capital is going to host the Common Wealth Games. The games have been highly contentious up till now .

The Urban Vision & MSN India have just launched “ I heart CWG Delhi” campaign in an attempt to energize the citizens to rise up for their city & back the Games.

For centuries, Indians have been able to make most out of chaotic situations. There is always a work around. Every problem can be solved & fixed.

It’s called The Great Indian Jugaad.

The People of India managed to become one the most powerful economies in the world with this attitude. So , this campaign pushes the civil society get up and get working to make the experience of the upcoming CWG special for all the guests who are going to visit us this October.

The campaign also invites people to use “Citizen Watch” which is powered by See Click fix to report issues and come together and help make our city better. The campaign also encourages Delhites to get in touch with their local Resident Welfare Associations and work with them to get smaller issues fixed.

Spread the CWG Delhi 2010 Love. Join the movement!

Please note, this compaign by the MSN India & The URBAN VISION has the link of our RWA Web Portal www.RWABhagidari.com under the Resident welfare associations.
