Polluting Delhi !

Greetings! If that be it so why can we not resolve here on this blog the following 1) Stop buying Cars and sell all at home etc except one 2) Use Metro 3) Ban E Rickshaws as they are bigger Pollutant when they dispense  with there  BATTERIES at your back in THREE MONTHS usage as it contains heavy Pollutants   which would pollute the ground water too as in Surat etc.Lets go for human pedaled Rickshaws as last mile vehicle as in the west.Besides they stael power at Rs25Cr/per month by kattiay usage and we pay for the same so annually  we foot Rs 500Cr and the same will be reflected in already high  Tariffs.These e-rickshaws can ply at outer eg at Noida,Akshdam,Fardiabad, guragaon where there is no last mile connectivity.  4) Let us pedal and use bicycles( powered ones as in Japan) and ask the Lt Gov to make IMMEDIATELY 'CYCLE TRACKS' in the Master Plan under review with 'Parking Stations" with complete infrastructure.This would reduce pollution as well address obesity and all life style diseases in one go etc  5)All cemented space in front of your houses/offices/pedestrian path ways(If any) after encroachments lets us Plant 'FRUIT TREES' not Eucalyptus etc with heavy foliage and use a 'Plant" as the 'GIFT" for all occasions.As we have in Lyutens Delhi,the British  did that so why we can not ape them as we ape all of Western culture?? 6) Many more Sir. But are we willing to sacrifice our easy life styles for our progeny or make them  gradually die with slow asphyxia with this POLLUTION. Polluting Status of Delhi !

Everyone is shocked on viewing the Polluting Status of Delhi, vide our RTI, published in Hindustan Times on 2nd of September, 2014. The covered areas included : R K Puram, Mandir marg, Punjabi bagh, Civil lines, IGI Airport, Anand vihar, Pitam pura, Siri Fort, Janakpuri, Nizamuddin, Shahzada bagh, Shahdara, ITO & 3 more locations with incomplete data i.e. Sarojini nagar, Mayapuri Indl Area & Chandni Chowk - Town Hall.

Most polluted was the Anand Vihar. Therefore, on next sunday we have a plan to check the Lungs of the residents of the Most Polluted Anand Vihar & nearby Jhilmil - Partap Khand areas, to understand the exact situation. We will move further to other polluted locations of Delhi soon. More details will be updated on the blog at the earliest possible.

Comments : Pollution levels in Delhi.

Dear Mr. Vohra,

It is not surprising! However, Anand Vihar - means the entire east Delhi - has hit the headlines for something unwanted and undesirable! You know fully well that 1/3rd of Delhi's population is from our East Delhi. Is it not yet an another record! The number of vehicles and industries are ever-increasing in size and dimensions extensively. Will they not create all the pollution? Parking of vehicles has become the biggest problem, more than anything else, leading to skirmishes, manhandling and even physical combat with weapons culminating sometime in death etc. We have lost our balance, consciousness, friendliness and become most selfish and self-centered throwing all our ethos, culture, tolerance etc. we learnt over a long period of time from scriptures etc. Our children have become more intolerant and indisciplined and even their parents cannot control or even reprimand! Unless we reduce the number of vehicles drastically and use public transport extensively, the present piquant situation, which we made, cannot be overcome by any legislation or force!

Few months ago : Electricity wires burnt like hot coal in Krishna nagar !

Fire in the Electric Poll in Krishna nagar. It was burning like a hot cake. But BSES office that is just at the walking distance could not smell it. Just a day before, in the BSES meeting it was informed by some of the members that such cases of Fire on the Polls as well in the meters have become common now a days. If such instances are occurring due to the deficiency in the equipment or services of the BSES, why the general public should suffer. Pic with thanks from Jugal bhai.
