Stray Dog Menace at Safdarjung Enclave ?

Dy. Commissioner, MCD.

Sir,

This is continuation to my earlier email sent ten days ago requesting you to kindly remove stray aggressive dogs.

Only action that has been taken by MCD is that one dog which was captured earlier by MCD Staff has now been released back in this area. I shot another email four days ago.

I am sorry to state that no action has been taken by MCD TILL TIME of writing this mail for the removal of dogs.

Today, these dogs have bitten o e more domestic help in this area and has been taken to hospital by them for vaccination & dressings etc. This is just for your information and records and getting the needful done in the matter or direct us to the right person/Authority.

Looking forward to getting a positive response/action from MCD.

Best regards.

Sirs/Madam

Very sorry to intimate you that one dog jumped over a group of children returning from school. Children got scared and one child was hurt.

Children were saved by a group of passers by.

All this happened 2nd time since morning.

We, once again request you to consider immediate removal of these dogs to give this colony and children of nearby schools a bit relief.

Regards.

Sir,

Since morning another resident of this area -  "Mr. Mani Iyer r/o B-2/131, SJE" has been attacked by these dogs some times ago and hence this email now.

His mobile number is 98-10-349824.

Kindly get the needful done on priority basis.

Regards.

Dear All,

Further to Vinay and Mani's mail, my domestic help was bitten by one of these stray dogs today morning.

I had to rush her to safdarjung hospital. The vaccination cost about 5000 rupees.

These dogs also run after and hit our cars when we drive out of the colony. We are scared we might inadvertently hurt them while driving.

Apart from this, they insist on sleeping on the roof of one of my cars and damage it in the process.

My family and I have always been a lover of dogs. But these dogs really need help and attention because they seem unreasonably violent.

We really urge you to give this your attention.

Warm regards,

Meena Gandhi
