Long power cuts are back. South and West Delhi areas suffered four to six hours of outages between Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon -- at a time when north India was engulfed by a record-breaking heat wave.
In Dwarka, there was black- out in some areas between mid- night and 5 a.m. while some other areas went without power from 5.30 a.m. onwards.
"We could not sleep all night," said Priya Pathaniya, an MNC executive in Dwarka's Sector 10. "Delhi's power companies are back to their old tricks."
BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd, the biggest discom in whose areas the powercuts occurred, said a power supply line of Delhi Transco tripped due to some "technical constraints".
